iTunes Play Count Survey

In order to complete this survey you will have to provide information from your personal computer's iTunes program.

Before you answer the following questions, performing these quick tasks will be helpful to you:

  1. Open your iTunes Program
  2. Once it has loaded, go to your Music Library where it lists all of your music
  3. Across the top, there are various panels that organize your music (Name, Time, Artist, Album, Rating, Play Count, Last Played, & Genre)
  4. Click on the panel labeled "Play Count". You will know it has taken effect when the panel becomes highlighted in a different color and has a downwards arrow
  5. Your music should now be sorted based on the frequency of how many times you have played a particular song (Make sure it is sorted by most played to least played)
  6. It should look something like this:

Now that you have done this, please answer these quick questions:

  1. What is the name of your most played song according to iTunes?

  2. Who is the artist?

  3. How many times has it been played?

  4. Is this your MOST favorite song RIGHT NOW?

  5. IF NOT, please try to recall around WHEN it was your MOST favorite?


  6. Where does this song rank on YOUR ALL TIME list of favorite songs?

  7. Please look at the SECOND most played song on your iTunes. How many times has it been played?

  8. Comparing the MOST and SECOND most played song on your iTunes, which one is YOUR FAVORITE?
