I have heard and read a lot of STUPID and IDIOTIC ways to cure and handle a hangover from a lot of people. But that is not their fault because they try to base it on how it effected them when they tried it. But here is what you should REALLY do. FIRST, drink a lot of water, when consuming alcohol your body tends to become dehydrated. SECOND, DON'T EVER TAKE ANY MEDICATED DRUGS OR ANY DRUG FOR THAT MATTER WHILE DRUNK. I hear from A LOT of people telling others to take Tylenal or Advil. I have seen a lot of my friends do it. BUT DON'T DO IT. DRUGS AND ALCOHOL DO NOT MIX!!!! Taking drugs while drunk is a very common misconception that I ALWAYS hear. When you're hungover the MORNING AFTER, that may be a good idea to help remove headaches. the morning of- drink some lemonade. Your body needs sugar, and the lemon is a concentrated acid which you're body can take and help aid it. You can take some Activated Charcoal- the ones from the store NOT charcoal form the grill. The charcoal removes potentially poisoning toxins in your system. Drinking milk helps but water is better. Eating a meal high in saturated fat causes the effects of alcohol to peak earlier and last longer than diets high in polyunsaturated fat. Put a teaspoon of bifidus powder in a glass of water and drink before going to bed. Bifidus is the "friendly" bacteria that detoxifies acetaldehyde, a digestive byproduct of alcohol that is a major cause of hangovers. One of the quickest ways to cure a hangover is to make a banana milkshake sweetened with honey. The banana helps calm the stomach, and with the honey, builds up the depleted blood sugar levels. The milk soothes the stomach and rehydrates your system. Bananas are also rich in the important electrolytes, magnesium and potassium, which are severely depleted during heavy drinking. Also taking B-vitamins, eating chicken soup or an apple can also help.
-If you want to help a friend who just came home from drinking and is VERY drunk, here is what you should do. don't let him/her do anything. IF they're drunk they won't know what they are doing, thus potentially hurting/damaging them, yourself your items around them. Give them water, but when you do WATCH OUT! why? cause after consuming lots of alcohol AND water they tend to pee, ESPECIALLY IN THEIR PANTS and on your chairs. so when they say they want to pee, LET THEM but that part is the hard part cause when drunk, they have no aim (if guy) and girls sometimes forget to pull down their pants. I HAVE HAD A LOT OF FRIENDS DO THIS and the peeing stage is usually the hardest (well for me). DON'T FEED THEM ANYTHING!!! they will just PUKE IT back up, its pointless. Also LET them puke, its good for their body (but not their throat in most cases) so keep a trash bag around them at all times. When they are drunk (of course everyone knows) they will pass out. Let them, its good for them. If their bed is the top bunk, be considerate and let them sleep on the bottom, they will fall when they're on top. There is nothing much for you to do other than what was said above.
-I know most of these things because I took EMT courses a while ago and these were some ways to care for patients. So TAKE WHAT I SAID INTO CONSIDERATION NEXT TIME YOU DRINK!!!!
