Deciding where to go to college. (back)

Everyone always says that college shouldnt be all about having fun, but when it comes down to it, I think that is how you should decide where you want to go. Face the facts, college is still schooling/education...if you want to ever do anything with your life you're still going to have to do schoolwork no matter where you go. That being said, if you're going to be getting an education no matter where you're at, go to the place that you will enjoy the most. Life will be better for you when you love where you are.

For me personally, I am from Maryland and my family is moving to Arizona. I only applied to two schools, University of Maryland and University of Arizona. It would be possible for me to pay instate tuition at either one since I would be able to have residency in whichever state I wanted. So when it came down to it, I could go to either school I wanted to. There is no denying that University of Maryland is a better school in most aspects...it has a higher reputation, a higher quality of education, and most would say higher athletic programs as well. But even though I had planned on going to UMD my whole life, I wanted to start over somewhere else and just enjoy life for once. Long story short, I'm going to be a University of Arizona Wildcat next year and I can't wait.
